Breitenriegel is 430 meter high peak and is part of the Lavanttal Alps. The peak is located 3 km southwest of peak Florianiberg. The nearest mountain hut is Klugveitl, located 18km west-southwest. Closer is bivouac Waldpavillon, which is located 5km to the northeast. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Annengraben.
