The peak is located 4 km northwest from the center of Goldegg im Pongau and 4 km east from the center of Sonnberg and 0.7 km southwest of peak Hochegg. The nearest mountain hut is Klingelbergalm, located 1.2km north-northwest. A little closer is Roßbachalm, which is located 0.5km to the south-southeast. Southwest of the summit is the valley Käfertal.
