Gugl is 1700 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 7 km southwest from the center of Böckstein and 8 km north from the center of Innerfragant. The nearest mountain hut is Veitbaueralm, located 0.3km north. Kreuzkogelhütte is a bit further away. 5 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Weißsee. 3 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 4 km west from the summit there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. South of the summit is the valley Fragant.
