Vorderer Murauerkopf is 2881 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km east-southeast of peak Weinflaschenkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Moaralm, located 3km north. Closer is bivouac Dr.-Rudolf-Weißgerber-Biwak, which is located 1.8km to the southeast. 3 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Weißsee. 2 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 4 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. The peak is located north of the valley Fragant.
