Hinterer Geißlkopf is 2888 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 4 km east-southeast of peak Weinflaschenkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Hagener Hütte, located 2km east-northeast. Closer is bivouac Dr.-Rudolf-Weißgerber-Biwak, which is located 1.3km to the south-southeast. 4 km west of the peak there is lake Weißsee. 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 4 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher.
