Astromscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2595 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 5 km north-northeast from the center of Innerfragant and 7 km north from the center of Grafenberg. The nearest mountain hut is Hagener Hütte, located 3km north-northeast. A bit closer is bivouac Dr.-Rudolf-Weißgerber-Biwak, which is located 1.0km to the north-northwest. 5 km west-northwest of the saddle there is lake Weißsee. 5 km northwest from the saddle there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 6 km northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher.
