Kalte Wand is 2746 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 4 km northeast from the center of Innerfragant and 6 km north from the center of Grafenberg. The nearest mountain hut is Hagener Hütte, located 4km north. Closer is bivouac Dr.-Rudolf-Weißgerber-Biwak, which is located 2km to the northwest. 7 km west-northwest of the peak there is lake Weißsee. 7 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 8 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Fragant.
