Description:
Hahneckkogel is 1857 meter high peak and is part of the Salzburg Slate Alps. The peak is located 1.2 km west of peak Breiter Kopf and severo-severowest above the mountain pasture Wirtsalm. The nearest mountain hut is Enzianhütte, located 1.8km northwest. And Preibischhütte is also close by. 4 km west-northwest of the peak there is lake Zeller See. The peak is located southeast of the valley Vorderglemmtal.
