Hochwanner

Description:
Hochwanner is 2744 meter high peak in the Wetterstein mountains. The peak is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Steinernes Hüttl, located 1.9km southwest. And bivouac Schüsselkar-Biwak is also close by. 6 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Schneeferner, 6 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Höllentalferner. The peak is located north of the valley Gaistal.
