The peak is located 3 km south-southeast from the center of Neukirchen bei Altmünster and 5 km west from the center of Traunkirchen and 3 km north-northeast of peak Alberfeldkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Hochsteinalm, located 0.9km east-southeast. Jagerbachlstube is also relatively close. 3 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Vorderer Langbathsee. The peak is located northeast of the valley Weißenbachtal.
