Description:
Hornkogel is 1018 meter high peak and is part of the Hochschwab Mountains. The peak is located in country Austria 4 km southeast from the center of Mooslandl and 5 km south-southeast from the center of Gams bei Hieflau. The nearest mountain hut is Bergbauern - Lackneralmhütte, located 10km north. Closer is Viktor Laritsch Jhtt., which is located 3km to the east. 7 km south-southeast of the peak there is lake Leopoldsteiner See. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Frenzgraben.
