Kanin / Canin

Description:
Kanin / Canin is 2587 meter high peak with a registration box and a cross located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located on the border between the country of Slovenia and the country of Italy. The nearest mountain hut is Dom Petra Skalarja, located 2km east-southeast. A bit closer is bivouac Jamarski bivak, which is located 1.7km to the southeast. North-northeast from the summit there is glacier Ghiacciaio del Canin. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Krnica and a marked path leads to the top. The peak is located above Kaninski podi.
