Monte Ursic / Vršič

Description:
Monte Ursic / Vršič is 2541 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located on the border between the country of Slovenia and the country of Italy. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Celso Gilberti, located 1.5km northeast. bivouac Jamarski bivak is also relatively close. 0.5 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Ghiacciaio orientale del Canin, 0.7 km west from the summit there is also glacier Ghiacciaio del Canin. East of the summit is the valley Krnica. The peak is located above Kaninski podi.
