Kunkelkopf is 2110 meter high peak and is part of the Lechquellen Mountains. The peak is located 0.6 km south-southwest of peak Kilkaschrofen. The nearest mountain hut is Biberacher Hütte, located 3km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Untere Buchen. Southwest of the summit is the valley Great Walser Valley.
