Langeckriedel is 915 meter high peak and is part of the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located 4 km southeast of peak Rettenkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Goiserer Hütte, located 4km south. A bit closer is bivouac Pramesbergerrast, which is located 3km to the south-southeast. Northeast of the summit is the valley Rettenbachtal.
