Loskoppen is 1956 meter high peak in the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located 6 km south-southeast from the center of Obertraun and 8 km southeast from the center of Hallstatt. The nearest mountain hut is Lodge, located 2km northwest. A bit closer is bivouac Unterstand (offen), which is located 0.9km to the north. 7 km southwest from the summit there is glacier Schladminger Gletscher. North of the summit is the valley Koppental.
