Description:
Markkogel is 1599 meter high peak in the Chiemgau Alps. The peak is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Straubinger Haus, located 2km west-southwest. Hager Fischerhütte is a bit further away. West of the summit is the valley Leukental.
