The peak is located 3 km south from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal and 11 km south-southwest from the center of Donnersbachwald. The nearest mountain hut is Bräualm, located 2km northwest. A little further is bivouac St. Nikolai am Sölkpass Ort. The peak is located northeast of the valley Rantengraben.
