Monte Mandrone is 3283 meter high peak. The peak is located 17 km southwest of Vermiglio and 17 km west of Carisolo. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Mandrone, located 3km northeast. A little further is bivouac Bivacco Passo Lago Scuro (Museo). 8 km southeast of the peak there is lake Lago di Lares. 1.1 km west from the summit there is glacier Vedretta di Pisgana, 1.3 km north from the summit there is also glacier Pisganino. The peak is located west of the valley Val di Genova.
