Salzla is 2131 meter high peakon which a cross stands and is part of the Villgraten Mountains. The peak is located 3 km north-northeast from the center of Taisten - Tesido and 4 km north-northeast from the center of Welsberg - Monguelfo. The nearest mountain hut is Bonner Hütte - Rifugio Bonner, located 11km east. A bit closer is Kaser Alm, which is located 6km to the northwest. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Gsieser Tal - Valle di Casies.
