Schafkarspitze is 2397 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 1.4 km north-northwest of peak Ahornspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Edelhütte, located 1.6km southwest. Andreas-Hofer-Hütte is also relatively close. 7 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Kainzenkarkees. North of the summit is the valley Zillergrund.
