Scheichenspitze is 2667 meter high peak with a cross and a summit register and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located 4 km north from the center of Ramsau am Dachstein and 5 km north-northeast from the center of Vorberg. The nearest mountain hut is Guttenberghaus, located 2km east. A little further is bivouac Ramsau Stierer. 3 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Schladminger Gletscher, 6 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Großer Gosaugletscher. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Preunegg.
