The nearest mountain hut is Bänkenalm, located 2km northwest. A little further is Schafhütte. 5 km south from the summit there is glacier Simmingferner, 6 km south from the summit there is also glacier Feuersteinferner - Vedretta di Montarso. The peak is located west-northwest of the valley Gschnitztal.
