Südlicher Latschkogel is 3357 meter high peak in the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 4 km west from the center of Obergurgl and 5 km east from the center of Vent. The nearest mountain hut is Ramolhaus, located 4km south. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 0.6 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Manigenbach-Ferner, 0.8 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Glaseirferner. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Gurgler Tal.
