Stockkogel (Zirmkogel) is 3278 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 3 km west-northwest from the center of Obergurgl and 6 km east-northeast from the center of Vent. The nearest mountain hut is Gaislachalm, located 6km north. bivouac Ramolalm is a bit further away. Northeast from the summit there is glacier Stockferner, 1.5 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Steiniglehnferner. The peak is located southeast of the valley Venter Tal.
