Zirmeggenkogel is 3229 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 1.2 km northeast of peak Gampleskogel. The nearest mountain hut is Ramolhaus, located 5km south-southwest. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 0.5 km south from the summit there is glacier Lehnerferner, 1.0 km west-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Steiniglehnferner. The peak is located west of the valley Gurgler Tal.
