The peak is located 7 km north-northeast from the center of Neuberg and 8 km east-southeast from the center of Annaberg im Lammertal and 1.2 km east of peak Däumling. The nearest mountain hut is Hofpürglhütte, located 3km south-southwest. A little further is Ebenalm. 5 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Großer Gosaugletscher. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Preunegg.
