Vordere Steinkarspitze is 2181 meter high peak and is part of the Lechtal Alps. The peak is located 3 km northwest from the center of Kelmen and 4 km north from the center of Namlos. The nearest mountain hut is Ehenbichler Alm, located 3km east-northeast. A little further is Althuette. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Namloser Tal.
