yesterday 29.05.2014 went to Hleviška planina via hunting path, return through Kodrov rovt. Both paths normally passable, mountaineering club and volunteers did great removing ice storm aftermath. Well, if anyone wants to see up close nature's power and what ice broke, recommend hunting path. Crazy...some forest parts gone, all that was vertical now horizontal. So all paths to Hleviška planina normally passable, sometimes dodge a bit, step over tree, bend...but basically no problems.

What's the situation on Skuta regarding snow patches? Has anyone been who could say something about current conditions?

hm... yeah, Becar, did you check at the hut on Korošica if maybe they left them there, in case someone looks for them? In short... poles into backpack, backpack on back and trust no one... seems they steal everywhere...

Becar, I passed those poles myself and thought someone forgot them. Then it dawned on me that someone left them there and didn't want to carry them to the top intending to pick them up on the way back... but the three musketeers were faster. Well, musketeers, be honest and return the poles to the guy. Unfortunately, "thievery" has moved to the mountains too...

Today did a 28km long section from koča na Pesku to Slovenj Gradec. From Pesek via Mašinžaga warm-up to Lovrenška Lakes. Two-day rain was felt, plenty of water on and beside the trail. Had to cross small torrents and streams, but no issues. Could do it in sneakers too. No snow anywhere except a 3x2m snow patch handy for cleaning shoesnasmeh. To Ribniška koča no issues except wet ground. From Ribniška koča to Velika and Mala Kopa less forest, wind hindered walking. Over both Kopas to Partizanski dom then to koča pod Kremžarjevim vrhom. Trail here more overgrown than before, more undulating, steep down steep up...some flat. From koča pod Kremžarjevim vrhom to Slovenj Gradec another ca 700m descent that drags at end. Anyway, great conditions except wind, markings very visible everywhere, most junctions have signs/markings...Only bit where markings vanish briefly is from Partizanski dom to Kremžarjev vrh. No problem. Nature 10/10, people great, huts super (except closed Grmovškov dom), but one thing bothered me: from Kope ski area to Kremžarjev vrh tons of motocrossers audible from afar. Won't debate if ok or not, excessive engine buzz bothered me. Plowing hiking trails with cross bikes not appropriate.
Re stamp at Grmovškov dom, get it at the pub next door. Don't know when open. Today around 11am it was. Day gorgeous, wind cooled air, Pohorje beautiful as always. Will returnnasmeh

19.01. I hiked/plowed through the route described above. Well, somewhere I took my own shortcut, which turned out to be a longer path. Anyway, the walking conditions were great, temperature around zero, only the wind was slightly annoying, especially on Bevkov vrh. From Sovodenj to the hut on Ermanovec I took the scenic path and after good 1h30min I stood in front of the hut, which was open. I continued the path towards the "pass" Kladje, along the plowed road. It took me good 40 min to Kladje. Then I "plowed" half the path, namely to one of the local roads. I spent a whole hour wading through half-meter snow. Then again along the road to the Slabe farm, from there again wading to the chapel on/under Bevkov vrh. The wind was grinding and covered my predecessor's track. It took me about 2 hours from Kladje to the chapel, then the path took me over Bevkov vrh down to Sovodenj, for which I needed another hour and a half. In short, in winter conditions the path is beautiful, but we can imagine how nice it is in spring. I recommend it to everyone who is able and willing to walk 5 to 6 hours.

Has anyone been to Stol in the last few days? What are the snow conditions?

Hello. KSA experts, please for an opinion regarding the path to Skuto, specifically I plan to start at the cargo cableway, via Kranjska hut on Ledinah, to Koroška Rinka (Križ), then to Skuto, from Skuto to Cojzova hut on Kokrsko sedlo. I am aware that this path is probably quite long, but I'm more interested in the path between Kranjska Rinka and Skuto? Does one lose a lot of elevation with the descent from Koroška Rinka to the actual ascent to Skuto? I have tried to find something useful, but I wasn't very successfulnasmeh. Thanks in advance for help
