Hi, has anyone walked Via Amalia these days? Since I haven't been yet, I don't know how it is with snow patches on this route - are they usually gone by now or persist until late summer (and if so, passable without winter gear?)?

And also: has anyone descended Via Amalia downwards and has comments on that?

What about Veriga model Mount track, does anyone have experience with it? (http://www.bokal-sport.si/Products/3163/veriga_dereze_mount_track) The manufacturer describes it as a model suitable for snowy and icy paths in high mountains, and I'm wondering how true that is.
I'm buying my first crampons for paths like Debela peč, Triglav lakes, Ratitovec, nothing more demanding in winter.

With boyfriend planning to start the year with trip to Debela peč (start Šport hotel). Who knows how the path is now? Possible without crampons?
