I hope I didn't miss any existing posts. From 4.8.2022 hiking trails are visible as a layer on geoprostor.net (PISO).

Today I accidentally ended up on Wikipedia, where in the article about Tomaž Humar I came across the following:"He was a customs officer by profession, privately he also dealt with prostitution. He lived in Kamnik for over 3 years then moved to Poljane where he worked as prostitut."
I find the text extremely inappropriate and insulting, so I also wrote it in the article's comment. Does anyone know how to report such things on Wikipedia?

The path from Bavšica is followable, maybe just a bit overgrown in the lower part (last year's experience, haven't been this year). Once you're towards the hunting hut, it's pure pleasure. The circular route is nice, in Soča you can arrange parking at Caritas so the car doesn't stand half a day at the shop.

Thanks to both for the useful info.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know those areas that well, is this https://www.gorenjskiglas.si/article/20211214/C/211219908/January ?

Since we have a skier who would go skiing to Sella Nevea, I would use the day for some tour nearby. Anything suitable for a walker (crampons or snowshoes)?

Thanks to both.

I'm browsing the forum, but I can't find info on how parking fees in Vrata work now.
Since I'd start at 4am, bus is not an option.
Is the parking fee paid at a barrier, is there a parking meter somewhere or do they still collect it by hand?
In the dark I wouldn't want to search too much for a meter, and I don't want an unpleasant surprise waiting in the evening either.

Last week from Bavšice to BG and down to Soča. Path from Bavšice a bit overgrown, long pants not amiss, but also OK without if nettles and tall grass don't bother. On Bukovec pasture water flows, chance to quench thirst. According to logbook one of very few who set off this way.

Hm, why turn off topography for better orientation? It's the topographic surroundings that enable better orientation in space.
Phones today don't lag in accuracy, I'd even dare say they outperform many dedicated GPS devices. Especially since phones have all possible receivers for various navigation signals. Example of the above-mentioned Oregon 650, which has only GPS and GLONASS, whereas Samsung S21 has GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU.
Regarding map responsiveness, no comparison between powerful phone processor and slowness of dedicated GPS device.
The only thing that beats phone today is robustness of most navigation devices and battery endurance. Though if a bit picky, with full eneloop batteries my GPSMAP 64S lasts just over 20 hours. If phone used exclusively for navigation, in airplane mode, probably approach that time too.
Oh, I've been using hiking navigation devices for almost 10 years, starting with Etrex, currently still on GPSMAP 64s. So I know a bit what I'm talking about.

Becar, like many times before, you also missed the mark on destroying signs. Because you interpret what you want to hear. And ask yourself who is pathetic. Obviously you're another one suffering from your frustrations.
75'er5. 08. 2021 19:32:09
Becar, aren't you embarrassed to litter the forum with your frustrations?

France already wrote it, let the farrier judge the shoes. With us it's like that, everyone is an expert on everything if they've read 2 articles with content they want to hear. Even if there are 1000 other articles different.
Of course everyone rears up on hind legs if someone cuts into their field. Lawyers master immunology, but God forbid someone else pokes into law.
Guys, better write about mountains.

I thought sheep droppings bother only fine ladies, but I see they bother even those who think they're tough guys. That's it from me on your comments. Thanks for understanding.

The fence on Tolsti vrh looks completely different... And it's not my intention to argue. Just wondering if such fences are really needed. If shit bothers someone during snack, let them go 50m from the top and they'll have peace.
