We also first tried your route, but the direct path had too little snow already and even that on top of that section was crusty flying down so we descended right before the summit back to the markers. So we nicely trod the traverse to the notch too, which is really a bit nasty and needs caution. Some tracks after you remained, some covered so we also needed almost 4.5 hours. I think there's no need to stress the necessity of winter gear, it's a winter ascent anyway. Let me add that yesterday another about 7 hikers went toward the summit but their tracks will probably be drifted over due to strong wind.
