I'm wondering if anyone has hiked from Komna to Bogatin and Mahavšček in the last few days? What's the trail condition (regarding snow, ice)?
Thanks.

I'm also interested in the same, there's definitely still snow on ZTP, probably the snowfield softens a lot during the day? How is it in Škrbina?

Maybe someone knows what's the condition on the path between Kredarica and Stanič's hut under Rž? There are surely still snow patches, but do they soften enough during the day and are safely passable and not on critical spots? Thanks for info.

27.8.2016 walked Ceria Merlone, which is truly a path for the soul... Beautiful crossing of the Poliska Špiki with beautiful views. Protections (cables) dosed just right, the path allows some scrambling and enjoying the rock. Whoever expects a path equipped with taut cables and numerous pegs and brackets (there are none on the path), better not venture onto it. Definitely agree with T. Mihelič who marked the path as "an inevitable duty tour for every true lover of the Julian Alps)".

The path is definitely super renovated and big kudos to path maintainers for that. But I can't avoid commenting that there's a bit too much iron on this path, making it often (sadly) like a promenade... I emphasize (before someone attacks me for underestimating the path), it's just my personal and subjective opinion, which shouldn't be basis for others' decisions.

I think Sini's comment is completely appropriate. She accurately wrote that the path is not too demanding "For all hikers used to paths in the range of very demanding marked path". So it's not the most demanding in the very demanding group. That means the path is very demanding, but in that range there are others that are harder. Really no need for so much negativity and bad mood because of a completely well-intentioned and welcome comment. Even if someone disagrees with something, it can be said in a completely constructive and cultured way, not with attacks and sometimes even insults. The comment in question was completely understandable and appropriate to me. Besides, I fully agree with the description, as I experienced it that way myself.

Maybe someone knows what the condition/situation is on the connecting path between Kopiščarjevo and Hanzovo?

Does anyone know if water flows from the spring between Skuta and Štruca (a bit off the path) this year? ☺

On Friday 8.7. via Plemenice to Triglav. Fog rolled over Plemenice and deprived us of views, but before ZTP it finally cleared and the blue sky was visible again On the path to the junction with the Dolič path we met only two other hikers, from there... end of peace and start of "promenade" where you see practically everyone... Regarding snow conditions, predecessors said it all. Unlike tourist-besieged Triglav, the next day we enjoyed beautiful views from Cmir and Rjavina. On the climbing path to Rjavina a small snowfield still holds, but it can be bypassed at the top. Definitely smaller each day and soon gone. On the path to Cmir under Begunjski vrh one crosses three soft snowfields, no problem.

Really nice pics I'm still interested if anyone has walked this path in the last few days and what the conditions are?

@redbull, thanks for reply. I agree ice axe is good to have, but if you don't have it by chance, you just inquire precisely about path condition and don't go if it's not safely passable without. That's exactly what the "conditions" forum is for

How about the path over Prag? Can you descend without winter gear?

Has anyone been on the climbing route to Rjavina in the last few days? Is it dry?

What's the condition on the path from Stanič Hut to Kredarica? Is winter gear still needed (or does daytime sun soften the snow enough)? Thanks.
