I think there was about 120cm on top on Sunday

On 29.4. I was at the summit.
Path to Čukla 99% dry. Under west ridge of Čukla still some snow patches here and there.
Snow starts around 1900 m on scree under west ridge of Rombon. North gully 'Naklo' icy till about 11 a.m., ideal for ice axe plunging and crampons. Summit south slope, mostly dry, has few snow patches that get mushy quickly after 11 a.m. and dangerous, as several-meter-deep holes hide underneath. Gotta be inventive to find rock path. At 2 spots have to cross them unfortunately, and there crampons and 2 ice axes really pay off.

Shortly after you 3 summited, me and my buddy turned around (at the end of that winter traverse), as the last ascent was a bit too technical for us Next time!!

With my colleague on Saturday we climbed first up one gully to Ablanca and then to Veliki Draški vrh. Conditions were quite serious, i.e. -5°C and wind gusts to 96 km/h. Due to ice spray visibility was only about 10 m and goggles froze on me twice It properly "frostbit" both our faces, experience unique

Slovenian route is icy in some parts and impossible without ice axe and crampons. Italian normal route is also snowy with about 10 cm of hard snow and doable without crampons, but I recommend ice axe anyway. Road is drivable to the landslide sign. After that, snow drifts and ice on the road.

Planning with 2 mates to climb up Sunday. But anyone more info on that snow patch? Can you go around?

Yesterday on Montaz via Pipan ladder. Snow starts at the beginning of the scree under Montaz and there is about 10cm along the whole path. For ascent definitely recommend ice axe, especially in 2 or 3 couloirs between scree and Pipan ladder.

With a colleague we were on Jalovec yesterday. On the route from Vršič over Jalovško škrbino, on the scree just above the Ozebnika summit, there is about 15m of very compact snow field to cross, for which I recommend using an ice axe. The rest of the route is 100% dry. The path past Špička is also 100% dry.

Yesterday went up Kačji graben and down past the hut in Krnica. No snow
