In Kamn Bistrica yesterday it still said: Koča na sedlu open. I went up late afternoon to photograph the sunset and met 3 hikers who told me the hut is closed, but sign says open. Along the path also some fallen trees.
Winter room is nicely arranged, only first wooden door almost can't close, need to lift it...

Today I went from Ljubelj via Preval pasture to Roblek. Path to pasture dry, further across Roža there is south-facing snow, but it doesn't sink excessively.

I helped myself with an infrared lamp for a slightly worse injury (IR sauna ok too)
and after 5 months already happily hiking in the hills

what about this year, would anyone go?

now probably the sinkhole a bit below the summit is not yet filled with snow, nothing is secured from the Cerknica side, at least on 1 November it wasn't and it's very dangerous

Since I'll soon celebrate 1st birthday, I'll write a few words too. On 11th January I slipped on Snežnik and fell into abyss, 22m deep. With plates they reconstructed my vertebrae, after 4 months I was back up. Then some lower hills, followed Gradiška tour, Vrbanove Špice, Velka Baba above Jezersko, Triglav, Storžič and quite a few 2 thousanders... hope it will be like that in future too... for New Year's Eve on Kredarica

A true mountaineer goes to the hills to enjoy clean air and recharge the soul with energy. In the hills we really don't need junk and hotels.
Bravo, triglavski and others who think like that.

I was up there last Friday via Kališče, it went easily without crampons with good boots, only on the shady side at some spots and right at the top a little snow..
Through the gorge there might be a bit more because it's shadier.

Has anyone gone up there this year over Gašperjev hrib, up to where is the road plowed?

There were just over 40 of us, fun and nice in the hut. On the way back in the afternoon it sank a bit in the middle section, otherwise all good and no problems.

for now two from Ljubljana, if anyone else decides to go up - can join at 6.00 tomorrow morning in front of city park (at parking by carts)
