Come on, hikers, let's collect in memory of the Slovenian legend of folk music Slavko Avsenik all his song titles that sing about our mountains.

I'll start right with Golica.

We go with our Ema on trips like Dovška baba, Blejska koča, Martuljški slapovi (to Ingota), Krvavec etc. To Šmarna gora from Zavrha even during the week, because it doesn't take much time.

Over Prag the path is super. Three short snowfields need to be crossed, ice axe help is very useful. Didn't use crampons though.

My tests confirm Mountain lover's statement: Nokia phone + Bluetooth Wearlink is the optimal solution.

I use a slightly older Nokia model (E71), but in combination with Sport tracker I won't trade it for any watch. The combination is a bit weak on calorie calculation, but it collects so much data that you need the same time to review them as for the activity itself.

In addition, GPS precision is much more accurate, in case of poor GPS signal coverage you can help yourself with server-assisted system (UMTS/GPRS).
