Becar, my comment wasn't aimed at you, I said I have no intention of arguing. Explaining to other readers who might get the wrong first impression of the argument - it's completely expected that the share of vaccinated among patients increases and eventually exceeds the unvaccinated share. So the fact that maybe 50% of people in some hospital are vaccinated tells us nothing (especially if it's your "uncensored data"). I got vaccinated, just like 100x before. I take the opportunity for vaccination, like I use medical services, medications if needed, take care of my health in other ways too. Nothing special, life goes on, I don't know why make such a fuss. We know well that vaccines are no bogeyman, since a million Slovenes are vaccinated, you surely know some. There are many stories, but in reality vaccinated people live quite normally, we just don't trumpet it loudly on the web. If anyone is interested in vaccination, the process and consequences, they can write to me and I'll explain how it looks in practice

Regarding side effects of medications, here's this: • swelling or bleeding in the back of the eye • abnormal heart rhythm • respiratory failure • acute accumulation of fluid in the lungs • acute narrowing of the airways • abnormally low oxygen in the blood • difficulty breathing in supine position • liver damage • kidney failure • damage to lung development of the child in the womb • abnormal kidney development of the child in the womb These are some possible side effects of one of the fairly popular medications that is regularly used in medicine. Sensationalistically listing horrific side effects without context is no argument here.

It's understandable that the percentage of vaccinated patients is getting higher, since more and more people are vaccinated. If we vaccinated 100% of the population, all patients would be vaccinated. The point is only that there are of course far fewer patients, the proportion is highlighted here for no reason. If we vaccinated 90 out of 100 people, say those 10 unvaccinated and some 10 vaccinated would get sick - ratio of sick 50/50, but it's completely obvious that the vaccine works well in this case. Fictional example to illustrate the logic, not exact numbers. I have no interest in arguing, I just want to say that the math here is completely simple, but it's misinterpreted. The fact that more and more patients are vaccinated is completely logical and expected. It would be the same even if it wasn't about vaccines but some other thing.

Path from Kuhinja to Planica is normally passable. Over winter partly washed away, somewhat more worn, but passable without issues. There were big plans to renovate the path too, but not expected this year. Anyway, now no closure, no notice, no special obstacles.

Yes it can, but probably quite fiddly on a bike. Above Leskovca the terrain is quite undulating, narrow path with sharp bends and many roots, higher up two narrow passages and if I'm not mistaken some steps too. If you watch out and go slowly and don't mind getting off the bike every now and then you'll get through, but no real riding pleasure probably.

Pedestrians are also traffic, that's what I meant. As far as I follow, people walk a lot between Kuhinja and Drežnica, there the path is nicely arranged, meanwhile probably rarely anyone heads to Ladra. The Peace Trail makes a fairly unnecessary detour there, surely the alternative via Drežnica and Kobarid is much more popular. Both are official variants, both come into play for the purposes of this topic. In my opinion, the Drežnica one is nicer and better arranged and more convenient for most visitors, although longer. For what Marx is asking, the Ladrska one definitely comes into consideration too.

Of course, I forgot that that also exists. Probably it is reasonably well arranged, though the question is how much actual traffic there is over it.

No sense in parking in Ladrah unless you plan ascent over Kuhinja instead. Kobarid at 235 m offers also 2000 m ascent, walk to Drežnica much easier. After turnoff to Drežnica there is parking, from there footpath to Kozjak waterfall and continue to Magozd, arrive in village and go on road to Drežnica. Road Kobarid-Drežnica is some km shorter but definitely not so pleasant on foot.

Probably you saw data from last year somewhere. This year they opened end of June already, it's open normally.

Just because the path is not in particularly bad condition, we still can't ignore it. And the fact that other paths are even worse doesn't mean we shouldn't pay attention to this one. Ideally, all paths would be excellently maintained - for every one where we can do something, it's worth doing. Bureaucrats who look for regulations and point fingers at everyone else are largely responsible for the situation being what it is - maybe it's not particularly bad, but it could be much better. Ultimately, one less fatality, which is worth every investment.

The helicopter has already flown, at least the shelter is partially stocked. The problem is more with repairing the water tank and upgrading the electrical system, which probably won't be done overnight. The other issue is the maintenance team, which is also questionable. For now we can only hope that PD NG members will take over the management of the shelter at least on weekends. That could work in current conditions, just need to find people and willingness. Last weekend + holiday I expected the shelter open, but no one was there. Saturday was very busy, Sunday and Monday weather was bad, but even on Sunday a group of Americans slept in the winter room, expecting the hut to be open. Last year there were complications from the start, but this year it looks even worse, unfortunately.

Yeah, best to drag a sextant and astrolabe along too. "Analog" tools suffer from pretty similar shortcomings as you accuse digital ones of. After all, the map can blow into a ravine, or you lose it or forget it during lunch break. It can tear, get wet, wear out... Phones don't die every day, no need to fear them. I primarily use phone, paper map only exceptionally just in case.

Some snow patches still on north side of Batognica and that side below Peak above Peski. Nothing extreme, but enough to get wet if you have summer shoes.

Synchronization via Movescount app drives practically all Suunto watch users to despair. First it takes an eternity for the watch to connect at all, then it syncs for a few more minutes. If you then change watch settings via the app, the connection randomly breaks and you have to go through the whole ordeal from the beginning. God forbid the phone locks or you switch to another app in between. But that's one of the few complaints I have with my Suunto Ambit3 Vertical. Of course, battery autonomy is somewhat lower than the specs from ideal conditions - instead of 10h mine lasts about 8-9h. But with the right settings you can get up to 200h autonomy; after all, usually it's not crucial to record GPS position every second. I'm very satisfied with GPS navigation accuracy; multiple times the watch alone has guided me on unknown paths and I've managed great. The altimeter is fairly reliable too, in my case mostly about 15m off. Of course it can be calibrated and adjusted. I can't evaluate the HR sensor since I have nothing to compare it to - it shows more than Fitbit, but I never delved deeply into the accuracy of either. In the end, the most important is what you need the watch for. For various sports activities these watches are an excellent investment, as you literally have all possible info at hand. GPS navigation is worth its price if you like exploring lesser-known paths. Suunto Ambit3 Vertical also has an elevation profile overview; if you have a loaded route it nicely shows on the graph how much you've covered and what's still ahead. In short, I'm very satisfied with the watch itself. The exception is the Movescount app, which still works well enough if you're patient.
