And it's not necessary that exactly that helmet/harness in the kit fits you. It's more worthwhile to go to Kibuba and/or Iglu, where there are sales now, and assemble a better custom kit for a lower price.

I'm buying a women's hiking backpack, which will mostly serve for day trips and at most two-day trips (mainly in the summer part of the year). Mandatory system for attaching poles and helmet. Can someone advise what volume I should take and any recommendation if someone is very satisfied with their backpack?

I know that a lot has been said about this in the past already, but still... At home I have DSLR Canon camera and quite a few lenses. I've dragged it with me to the hills a few times, and then I always cursed it, so I'm looking for some smaller and lighter alternative. Is there among you some photography lover who is satisfied with some compact or semi-compact version of camera for hiking and would recommend it to me?

Does anyone have experience with Alpina Iris boots? Opinions?
