Good to have a camera with a bit more optical zoom (mine is only 200 mm). Easier with a tripod, then at max zoom photograph the thing in parts. Nice if all images have same camera settings, even test a bit before (I screwed that, had on AUTO, that's why image is patchy).
Easiest to merge images in Photoshop with 'automate->photomerge'. If few images throw them all in at once, if many first merge in strips then strips together.
That's it if interested more write privately, assume not everyone cares .

Last time I went to Bela peč to make a better picture of Storžič from the north side .

Image size is about 16Mb as it's composed of multiple images (around 50). Bottom left is empty space because I only realized at home I didn't take that part .

With a buddy today we planned [to go via] Kramarjeva. At the hut under Storžič we saw we weren't first, lights of party on scree.
Scree before entrance solid (no sinking).
At first pitch caught mentioned party, but we turned there, snow bad (dry and wet).
First party went on, so for gutsier conditions are OK but first pitch poorly filled.. they bypassed it left.

If anyone goes up Kramarica or Cankarjeva (or any other nearby route) this week, I'd appreciate some info.

Today in the fifth gully super conditions. On the summit there's a bit of wind-drifted snow, but no crisis. Through the scree to the route entrance it sinks to the knees.
At the entrance to Kramar route it's quite dry, how it is further, I don't know.

Today the conditions are still the same as 'matej2000' wrote.

Given that it's a bit warmer now, is the snow still OK if you go really early in the morning?

Well that's how I planned to go too From the saddle I'd descend towards Bavščica to the junction where the path from Bavščica and from Vrh Ruš comes (the path is supposed to be closed lower between Bavščica and this junction). Then I'd go as 'darinka4' described to Bavški Grintavec, and down towards Soča.

If I'm forced to descend to Zadnja Trento, Grintavec will come another time Seems to me it would be too big a mouthful for one day.
If the weather holds I plan to go next weekend, I'll report conditions and upload some photos.

Hi, so as not to open a new topic, I'll just write here

I'd go similarly to you two, sleep in Zavetišče pod Špičkom, then start towards Bavški Grintavec (Path of Friendship) and descend to Soča.

Since the section from Kanja saddle to the top is closed, I'd descend from the saddle towards Bavščica and make a detour over Vrh Brda.

I'm a bit worried about the crossing from the shelter to the saddle. I've put together a route from maps, I wonder if it's approximately ok. Tips for changes are very welcome

If anyone has hiked this recently, please describe the condition.
