Galdhøpiggen is, with a height of 2469 m, the highest mountain of Norway and entire Scandinavia. You reach the mountain via a shorter path (mandatory with a guide) over the glacier or for free from the Spiterstulen hut, where we went. Very nice views all the time. On the way back we skied on snow almost to the valley.

We chose Staffal as the starting point. We slept (2x) in the nicely equipped Quintino Sella hut. In three days we did ascents to: Castor (4228 m), Western summit of Lyskamm (4479 m), Nasso del Lyskamm (4272 m) and Vincent Pyramid (4215 m). The weather was fantastic all the time. Only the last day was windy.

Today I went to Krn from Savica. Uphill it was frozen, downhill the snow had settled and it was nice for skiing. It added up to 43 km and 3000m elevation.

We were up there before the plow, but only with the help of a 4x4.
