We enjoyed two days in the comfort of the open Hut at Krn Lakes. On the path from Lepena compacted snow starts a little above 1200m. Snow at the snow gauge is already less than 120cm.
First day we skied from Batognica, two went from the top on foot to Krn. Despite warm weather the skiing was excellent.
Second day we went to Velika Baba. Excellent conditions there too.

I think the debate is straying from describing conditions on Mojstrovka.

If cows don't know the highway code, the driver should know the meaning of the traffic sign by the road to Vršič.

I'm not exactly from these areas that Trobec describes. But the path seems very strange to me.
I go to Davča via Škofja Loka along Poljanska valley to Cerkno ski slope (signs). From there follow signs to Davča. If I go via Selška valley past Zalega loga to Zgaga (group of houses below Petrovo Brdo), then turn left there.

Despite meteorological summer, conditions are fully winter.
Today morning snow started at hut on Zelenica. On screes over 20cm. Path through screes interrupted by many fresh avalanches. There snow over a meter.
I rather turned to Srednji vrh, as I felt something might come from slopes.

Swiss stone pine is a characteristic tree of Nockberge National Park.

If you drive along the (paid) mountain road Nockalmstrasse, you'll definitely see it.

I'm interested in the name of the rise from which iztok76 took the photo. In literature it appears under several names.

@tinky. Ajda nicely described the peak between Velika and Zadnja Mojstrovka. Also 10th pic from legenda's post proves your 3rd photo was taken on Predvrh Velike Mojstrovke. Legenda was definitely on Zadnja Mojstrovka yesterday, as we met there.

Also with me the heart rate is higher on descent. True, I have 33 years more than the average.

Yesterday the road was passable to Turkov rovt.

Today we were on Pristovski Storžič. We went the longer way because Krainerjeva pot is closed due to forestry works.

On Monday I was at Kokrško sedlo, didn't go further due to weather. From what was occasionally visible, I can say that the conditions Andrej described haven't changed much. Access from Jezersko is probably still quite wintery.

The latest pictures show how conditions can change in a few days. Between my and Primož's picture only 3 days passed, but the conditions are significantly different. Today it might already be all dry.
Therefore it's best if you decide yourself based on current conditions whether to go on or not. It's not hard for me to turn back if I assess it's too dangerous. The mountains will wait.

Yesterday we went via Žmavčarje. Despite a couple of cm of snow falling in between, there is less than on the upper photos. We didn't need winter gear. Especially on the ridge where the path goes to the north side, caution is needed.
