Well, that is also a one-day tour.

Of course it's possible, but as Janez wrote, there is no marked path in between. Map in hand...and it's good to have some orientation experience velik nasmeh

Some Sunday snapshots from the windy path to Pristovski Storžič. The Kranjska path to the summit is dry, further on the path to the junction where the path branches towards Korte there is still some snow.

Nice hiking greetings.

It's been so long since we were in these parts that visiting Pristovski Storžič was like something completely new for us velik nasmeh. Since we're still testing Matej's knee a bit, we planned a circular tour with option to shorten. Besides Pristovski Storžič plan was visit to hidden village Korte just across border and maybe ascent to Virnikov Grintovec on return. Will was there, health held, heat soon passed, but luckily all turned out well nasmeh. More in photo-story …
The parking lot in front of the former Casino is steadily shrinking. Left and right of the buses, they have newly installed pillars and closed the space.1
View from Jezersko on snow conditions in KSA.2
From the main road we quickly withdraw to a quieter path in the backcountry.3
The sun has not yet reached this side, so we are quite cold due to the proximity of the water.4
The inn by Planšarsko Lake already shows a new appearance.5
We continue in the direction of Šenk homestead.6
The campsite is already filling up nicely. There are a few tents, even more campervans.7
Next target is Jezerski vrh, although the name is misleading. It is not a summit, but a pass with a border crossing.8
At this house the path runs lower than shown on the maps. The owner probably no longer allows passage through the yard.9
The bypass is basically marked, but due to high vegetation we miss the continuation and stray off smoothly :)10
We don't know this yet, as we follow a poorly trodden path. We also encounter a water trough.11
On Rakeževa planina there is no path anymore. We tread high grass soaked by morning dew.12
Luckily the road is nearby and there are plenty of views :)13
Border, no Austrian police in sight. After the inn we turn left.14
Pristovški Storžič with a cross on the summit. That's where we are headed.15
The path is secured in some places, but an average mountaineer has no real need for it.16
The chain is unusually thick. It is similar to the one under Visoka Ponca from the Italian side.17
There is no place to fall, but it may be due to the numerous visitors, including families with small enthusiasts.18
Summit with the inscription *Koroška, free and indivisible*, whatever that means.19
And the official marker...20
Another one, this time a more extensive view of the Alps.21
Along path 628 we descend to the Kepp saddle, then continue on 608.22
We go to visit the village Korte. There is another one with the same name in Primorska.23
The path itself is nothing special. Some forest trails, some gravel.24
We are already almost below Tosta Košuta. From Pristovški Storžič it looked still damn far.25
First we meet Matildo, a real one with a scythe in hand. Fortunately this time she had a day off :)26
The central part of Korte has numerous old houses. The hamlet was once difficult to access due to the steep Korška gorge.27
The village church is also here, beside it a mighty linden.28
A small surprise, a board with cycling and hiking paths in the surroundings.29
Hmm, for a hunting observatory it has a strange location, it's not a bus station either, perfect for a snack :)30
All around there are numerous smaller settlements, probably farms and family houses.31
On the even gravel road we ascend towards Roblekova planina.32
Here we turn right in the direction of the border. Access to Virnikov Grintovec is from our side.33
The path first leads through the forest, then cuts into the open slope.34
Almost 30 years have passed since my last visit and such slopes certainly weren't there then :)35
Some scree doesn't bother, but the same cannot be said for a hot, humid day.36
Official summit. For a better view I also visit the other one, about a meter higher.37
View towards Obir38
view towards Košuta39
View towards the official summit with the logbook, my dears and Veliki babi in the background.40
We return along the same path and it stays that way until Žingerc saddle.41
Then we turn onto a fairly freshly bulldozed road towards Jezersko.42
However, the descent does not follow the road continuously, as several path junctions are routed elsewhere.43
After deciphering the hidden path extensions we finally reach the valley :)44
Žmitkov farmstead45
Church of St. Ožbolt with a beautiful background. A bit further we conclude this path.46
GPS track of the hiked path. It came to 25 km and 1700 m of ascent.47

Yesterday we walked this loop and we liked it a lot, especially the descent from Pristovški Storžič all the way to Grintovec - really nice nature, peace, nice path, that village is beautiful and it was nice to sit in the shade of the 500-year-old mighty linden. My first thought proved true that this tour is more for spring/autumn - Sunday was very hot and the path is more sunny than shady, so we got really sunburned, and we had too little water. At the end we got a bit lost and found a whole slope of forest strawberries... Long and due to the heat quite strenuous tour, but worth it. We parked at the playground. 25km, 8.5 hours.

Congratulations on the hiked path nasmeh. You had water right at halfway in Korte, but probably didn't notice it. Trough with running water is behind the house by the mighty linden. Maybe this info will help someone.
The water trough is marked with a red arrow1

Monday refresh from the hot valley to slightly windy Pristovski Storžič, where the temperatures are much more livable velik nasmeh
Otherwise shorter variant as Emil describes, but not the shortest possible. And yes, here it is definitely worth a detour, not the shortest up and down. There is lots more to see nasmeh
