This Saturday we climbed this ferrata to Tofana di Mezzo. The path is quite demanding, secured only with steel cable. The path is extremely exposed in one place and requires a cool head and steady foot. I recommend the path to experienced mountaineers with some arm strength.

For the ascent, a helmet is essential. Never without it!!! A via ferrata set is recommended but there are not many cables. Considerable caution is needed due to scree. Best regards and successful ascent.

Our group also headed to Spik on 11.7.2010. Up from the hut, back over Kačji Graben. The tour is strenuous and not too demanding. Snowfields on the path, but all safe. Ice axe not needed. Nice weather, magnificent views. Of course without soaking feet in water at the end it's no go. I recommend the tour. Descent through Kačji Graben is strenuous. Lp

It's already passable now just the snow needs to be soft. Careful there's snow right before the entrance. Better leave the poles below the wall. You cross a large snowfield twice but not dangerous if snow is soft.

On the path from Okrešlju there is a large snowfield 30 minutes above the hut. But today the snow was soft and there were no problems. And right before the entrance to the wall there is a snowfield but you don't go over it.
