We were yesterday on Križ from Ledine. The biggest problem is getting from the saddle to the window, ice axe in hand and it goes. Further on, cross another small snowfield, under one there's a passage and go under the snow. Protections OK, but towards the top one cable is a bit short, it could be extended a bit. Descent to bivouac under Skuta and via Zmavcarji to Kamniška Bistrica. Right from Križ down, need to cross snowfield, again ice axe in hands, then down nasty scree. Zmavcarji dry.

Does anyone have info on path condition and snow conditions from Ledins to Kriz and from Malih Podov to Kriza? Thanks.

Yesterday afternoon I parked behind Žagana peč and headed across Žmavcarje to the bivouac under Skuta. Path bp, just someone put lots of effort to spray almost all rocks by the path. Midway fog flew in from somewhere, but toward the top sun appeared. Then it vanished without a trace. Very nice tour, nice views.

On Sunday we climbed this scenic peak. Up to the spring all good, then snow starts, between 20 and 40 cm. All the way accompanied by wind with strong gusts. At the top unique views.

For whole tour with stops I needed a bit more than 7h.
From Zagana peć to Cojzova koča 2h.
Further to top 2.5h.
Top-hut 1h.
Hut-Zagana peć 1h.
In between, of course, stops. Track is nicely trodden so no way to miss. On exposed spots need care, and of course on descent too.

Yesterday I was on Grintovec. Road to Zagane peči normally drivable, further icy. Snow up to the last ascent before the hut is OK, there you have to be careful, it sinks quite a bit. Further to the top nicely frozen snow. Needed crampons and ice axe. On top it was blowing hard. On the descent thaw was already felt, especially from hut down.

I went via Hanzova last weekend. It was dry to the gate, further to the wall there was a snowfield, in the wall there were still a couple of snowfields which I crossed using an ice axe.
Another big snowfield after Mala Mojstrovka.
Given the conditions so far, I think those snowfields are gone, unless it's snowing up there now. Scouting is not unnecessary.

A bit late, around 10, I headed to Baba. Parked a bit further from the DB-Kepa junction, at the Mlinca stream. Snow starts around 1350m. From Planina Dovška Rožca to the top the snow is heavy and wet, so you sink to your knees and deeper. No sign of the stamp box out of the snow, but I didn't look for it either, because you can't see how far to the edge you can go, dangerous. Otherwise nice tour

Snow starts above hunting hut, right around 1200m.
Kamniški vrh is bare.

Today I went to Kamniški Dedec. Path from Kamniška Bistrica to hunting hut dry, only in Klin at stream crossing one hard snow section. A little above hut snow starts, which mostly collapses. Tough path section starts below Dedec through bushes. There sometimes you sink to butt. At summit... pics will tell. Back same path. From hunting hut also to Repov kot, then back to Kamniška Bistrica.
No crampons used, ice axe taken in hand now and then.

Year 2009 I started on Velika planina, as it looks I'll end it there too. In between quite some nice hikes, Nanos, a bit in Julian Alps, Kamnik-Savinja, Pohorje, Karavanke. But most memorable was the ascent to my first 3000er Hochfeiler(3510m) in Zillertal Alps.
In the next year I wish everyone safe steps, lots of nice views, nice weather and most importantly-HEALTH!

Today I was at Kamniško sedlo. Went from Kamniška Bistrica. Weather pleasantly warm, only at the top it really blew. Almost no snow anymore, but still some patch there, which can be bypassed.
