Today made a trail to the Hut under Renška planina. Specifically, starting point: road to Mala Reka past Podbregar. We returned on the path past Žvajge. There the path was already trodden.

On the penultimate day in December we headed to Zavižan. Northern Velebit peaks we had done many times, so this time we chose the trail to Zavižan from Gornja Klada, where the starting point is. The trail is well marked. Above the pasture Babrovača at around 800 m the snow cover began to thicken. Due to snow drifts the trail was often hard to pass. We often sank to our knees. We also encountered bear tracks, which we assessed as quite fresh. The ascent took us over five hours due to winter conditions; normally the trail takes around four hours.

On the highest Greek mountain Mytikas (2917 m) we were on 15.10.2024. We had ideal conditions for the ascent. From Prionia we ascended to the Spilios Agapitos hut and from there to the Skala summit. To here the path is easy, from here on to Mytikas the path is unprotected, traverses and ascends on a precipitous slope. If it were foggy or wet rock, we wouldn't decide for the summit ascent. We were happy we reached the summit.

Yesterday (12.12) we headed to Raduha, as we expected it wouldn't be too crowded midweek. It was true. Met no one. From Kosmačevi Rastke to Loka little snow, partly frozen. From Loka upwards we even made fresh track in about 5 to 10 cm new snow. At the top we admired clouds rolling from the west. On the way down after 12 o'clock the snow became very spring-like and weather warm.

Today we went to the terrain to check the snow amount on Smrekovec. From the Ljubno side the road was a bit snowy in the morning, of course plowed. At the turnoff to Kugovnik farm we left the car. Snow more than half a meter. To the hut and Smrekovec summit even more, at the summit we estimated a good meter. Unfortunately the summit was foggy, windy and snowing, skiing on Smrekovec meadow groping in the fog. But it was still fine, just to have real winter again, at least up there.

On last day of year 2022 we two also traversed Kamnik. From Matk on southern ridge path then across hunting past ivy heart and then back and again to southern ridge path to top. Descent on northern ridge path and return to Matk. In short completely circled it. Paths dry, except northern slopes wet with lots of leaves.

Yes really, such fresh whiteness of snow in mountains is something wonderful. Thanks all. I wish you and hope we will share it this winter too. Regards all.

Yesterday, Tuesday, on Raduha. From Kosmačevih Rastk the path through the forest was sprinkled with snow in places. At the hunting hut on Cirkovnica the sun was already shining on us. From the hut on Loki we made a new track. At the hut there were about 10 cm new snow, then more and more. Below Mala Raduha we were already trudging deep into new snow to knees or more in drifted snowdrifts. A ski tourer followed us, who then skied down from Mala Raduha. Just below the summit a couple overtook us. We were very glad for their company especially the footprints they made with snowshoes on the very snowy summit. But it was nice again to be in the snowy fairy tale.

On Monday Bijele cliffs. Starting point at 7 km road then hut under Bijele cliffs and to top. On ascent to top two pegs help on smooth rock, not hard. Rock sculptures beautiful, just ah and oh nice. From top continue on Vihoraski path to Ratkovo shelter and to Zub. Then back to road and on Kostura path back to start. Tuesday Samarske cliffs southern part. As said path beautiful, up and down, two spots quite hard descent, on harder path to amphitheater. Back on lower side. Extended path to western Samarske cliffs, Piramida and Samarske peak. On Sunday we also set off to explore these mountain groups. From Blejsko to Klek and Klečice, path nice, mostly shady except summits. Then sightseeing of Ogulin and refreshment in the lake then further.

Before going to Albania we checked car access to Theth and yes it was written that normal transport only to pass as you two wrote. So we had a plan to leave the car at the pass and walk further to Theth. Actually then we drove to Theth and the road surely was not so torn, it was OK, otherwise we wouldn't have driven despite VW Transporter. Only before village a little and in the village torn gravel. Best those now there tell. I know how torn roads in Albania can be.

Seems to me asphalt to Theth. Don't remember exactly but seems mostly asphalt. We had no problems. That was October 2021.

Asphalt road to Theth goes from Shkodra, Koplik, Boge to pass somethingIforgetname, then road descends to Theth village. From village many paths to passes and peaks, some marked. That was last year end of October. Probably same or better now. Regards

We went to check how much snow there is in these parts. On Veliki Travnik and Turnci I'd say about a meter. Path: Planina, Veliki Travnik, Turnca and descent to Planina.

Thanks, @geppo and @pohodnik38. Probably it would be nicer and better if at the end of the logging trail one went even more left and covered a larger part of the ridge of Icmankova peč. Next time. LP
