I know it's a good winter technical boot. Yesterday I saw this though. Snowballs form regardless of wet or dry snow, after a few steps. Even more annoying under crampons. Something's not right here. Can someone who has these boots or knows them comment? Thanks. Best, Petr

The forest stands of Arolla pine below Smrekovcem, which are declared natural assets of national importance, are on Končnikov vrh (NW of Krnes) and on Presečnikov vrh, east of the pasture or saddle Bela peč.

Interesting that you mentioned the data for Peca. According to literature it should be a few individual trees on the northern slope, probably remnant of a former stand. The location given is cirque Križe, between Kneps and Bistriška špica, at approx. 1800m a.s.l.

Also for the direction sign. Thanks. Hard to understand that it was in someone's way. At the end of summer once I accidentally found it, twisted in the bushes, behind the table and benches. I didn't have any tools and put it back on the post there by the logging trail where it was attached. It just waited for the "right one".

Edina, just as Teja says. On KSA 2000 this path isn't there, although marked since 1996. Wonderful path, nicely marked and maintained. No problem following when dry.

Still I think it's not just the snow. We were four, two with LS boots, but only my friend with snowballs. The other three no problem. And she says it happens in every snow. I already smeared with grease but it doesn't help.

Stingray, just go via Koprivna, no problems with parking...in the bend where the path to the border crossing is, there's almost always enough space to park. Then 10 min to pl. Luža. The car can also be left at several places lower down along the road. LP

Less than 2h. Me too interested, given very different times to Korošica via this path. Sign at start and Hribi.net 3.30h, PZS 2.30h, Fick guide "good 2h"...Such different times probably due to steepness. Or because of all the path offers to see. From pristine to forest line, geological-morphological features etc... One needs more time for all that. I took it on return.
