Pivkelj is the highest peak of the Moravče municipality. The peak is managed by PD Moravče, on the path there is the hut of Moravče mountaineers, which will soon be built. The hut is already open on Saturdays and Sundays, when it is managed by PD Moravče members. The Pivkelj summit is also adorned by a wish bell donated by a society member. The path is wonderful even at this time, full of flowers. Some can be picked as herbs for tea. Not far away, under the church of St. Neža there is a mountain hut in private ownership and is open on weekends from 9.00 to 17.00. Even on a fresh rainy workday, when I climbed from Moravče to Pivkelj, visited the church of St. Neža on Slivna, which is fifteen minutes away, I enjoyed it. For ascent and descent I needed a good three hours. From Moravče I headed towards the Mountain Hut on Žerenku, then continued the path past the entrance to Osoletova Cave towards the highest hamlet of Moravče municipality, Štanci Lazam. The hamlet is secluded, despite the friendliness that embraces you here. I continued the path towards Pivkelj. On the way I also turned to the Zapodje quarry, where they mine sand from which lime is produced in Kresnice. The path is not demanding, we ascend approximately 500 m, but offers nice views towards Sava, to the other side towards Moravče, at the mountain hut on Žerenku we see Kamnik Alps, Karavanke and on nice weather also the wreath of Julian Alps. Visit this path, you won't regret it.

I visited Kal Mountain on 8.10.2017... not the first time, but it's always interesting. It was wonderful... the mountain, like the path itself. Burning larches and herds of chamois that were grazing under Kokrško sedlo and we few hikers watched them from the path from Kokrško sedlo towards the summit. Sadly the hut at the saddle was already closed and no hot tea. On descent I twisted my leg falling on the stony path. With help of two male hikers and one female I descended to the car. Since I don't know their names, I thank them here for their patience. Ascent to the mountain means a lot to me, since my illness no longer allows visiting higher mountains. With great effort I visited five two-thousanders this year. Dear hikers who overtake in mountains and like to say how fast you are and how much you've walked that day, there are also such among you who invest more effort but walk slower. Thanks to those to whom help and friendship in hills also means a lot. Also because of them it's nicer in the hills.

Yesterday a group of 20 hikers went from Jevnica to Janče. We had a wonderful winter day. Conditions for walking were pleasant, at the top by the hut it was blowing, so we hid inside. There we were impressed by the friendliness of other guests and staff. We were a group and had several children. They immediately cleared a couple tables for us so we could sit as a group. Otherwise it was pleasantly warm in the hut.

Last week we went to Črna prst past Orožnova hut. The path was interesting as always. The caretakers were very friendly, we had a proper lunch, then the kind landlady made us sandwiches for the trail. We went to Rodica and then descended to Ribčev laz. At the hut they almost discouraged us from the path, since they didn't know the path through Suha valley. We inform all hikers that the path is in very good condition. Since rain guided us a bit at the end, we finished it even faster. If you want to see lots of gentians, this is surely the nicest path. The views are wonderful too.

On Saturday, 27.4. we were on Blegoš. Walked from Črni Kal. Path in very good condition, dry, almost no snow seen. Summit not green yet, but already lots of marmots, edelweiss, pasque flowers showing, from hut to summit green carpet spreading.

Meta, you were right to pull the pics. Forum purpose is sharing experiences with those who haven't done the tour. When the pics are used by armchair Slovenians, maybe not just you..according to one statement..to check from feet to head and figure out/comment on what's tied aside and what's wrong, I think they lose value...by the way....to all commenters..this gent dragged us over rocks to Vevnica some 8 years ago, not just regulars with him. Knows how to help and be a real mountaineer!!!

When school year and national holiday passed, young hikers and members of PD Moravče set off on mountain trip through Fužinske planine. We started at Planina Blato, got there by cars. Took the path and in one hour reached Planina pri Jezeru, where we lightened backpacks, had snack, then via Planina Viševnik headed to nicely panoramic Pršivec (1761m). From Pršivec back to Planina Viševnik, in shelter friendly keeper directed us also to Dedno polje, from there back to Planina Jezero, where late lunch or early dinner awaited. Soon we made our beds and went to sleep. Next day warm sun and clear sky greeted us. Already at eight after breakfast headed to Planina v Lazu, strengthened with sour milk, then boldly to 2087m Ograde. Carniolan lilies, pogačice, murke, gentians accompanied us up there. We took quite a lot of time on top, no wind, sun not too strong. When descending and then heading also to Planina Krstenica, we really warmed up. At Krstenica strengthened then viewed cheese dairy, where that very day they made first loaves of cheese. With cow bells we started slowly descending to Planina Blato, where cars waited. Walked a lot, kept company to cows, horse and sheep and learned hard, modest but varied and beautiful life on pastures. We hope that on these pastures song of bells will long be heard.

On Friday we went on a hike with school hikers to Prevala Pasture from Ljubelj. It was an afternoon trip. We had plenty of time, left school at 13:30. The weather served us well, although dark clouds occasionally passed over us. We ended the day beautifully and I hope everyone slept very well, including the youngest, five-year-old hiker who complained that her tummy hurt...

Oh yes they were sunlit, if a few clouds come it's no problem... What if the cows come first and eat all the thyme and plahtice...

Today we visited Molička planina and Korošica, it was wonderful. There were so many flowers that we stopped often to admire them. Yesterday cows also arrived at Podvežak planina, so the atmosphere is perfect. Moderate hiking from Podvežak was five hours up and down. The weather held, above 2000 m fog was rolling. Pity the Kocbek shelter was closed. At Korošica the friendly hostess served us.

The variant I described is the easiest, I think - but it could be debated, since we noticed a car right before the hut...we had the Kamniške Alpe map with us, those paths are definitely on it.

Although Podpeča is far for us by car, we visited Peca again today. We parked at the Jakobah parking lot. The path was entirely snow-free and dry, towards the summit only a few snow patches visible. We ascended Peca via the very demanding path, descended via the easier one. The path is all in flowers, on little Peca we already saw pogačice, walls adorned with golden aurikliji, towards the summit lots of zaspančki, and first neboglasnice already blooming. The hut is also adorned with aurikliji. It is also adorned by a rich culinary offer, from beef soup, bograč, jota to authentic Carinthian dishes. Good hut service just beautifies the tour here in Matjaž's kingdom.
