This morning conditions in Žmavčarji were infernal. It looked all ok, yet two hikers ahead of us got caught in a slab avalanche that tossed them about 50m down the slope. Everything ended luckily, but after this warning we of course didn't continue the path.

Today's conditions for ascent were excellent. Winter gear necessary from Kredarica onwards. Road to Krma is ok, access possible via Zgornja Radovna village.

Today many people ascended Triglav, conditions very good. Occasional light wind, otherwise very warm. Snow held well, track from Krma well trodden. Road to end of Krma valley ok, parking at 5am already quite full.

Hello, a bit late, but I just have to comment.. On Friday, 30.8 in the morning lots of people climbed Triglav and quite a few small kids. Except for two families who properly cared for the protection and gear of their obviously mountain-experienced kids, some were... I can't find the word.... Not only that the caregivers, or whatever they were, weren't aware of movement on via ferratas, they take their small children with them, whom we other hikers, pale and terrified, handed over to each other and helped descend the pins over precipice walls.. Of course without helmets and protection....
Such experiences can leave trauma on a small child, instead of a nice memory nightmares remain... Please, don't do that to them...

I join Urban's question. I'm planning an ascent on Saturday... Also, what's the road to Konca like?

The road to Jermanca was quite icy and dangerous in the morning. With my car I had to give up soon and return to KB...
