During my visit to Montenegro I went today to Visitor 2210, which rises above the towns of Plav and Gusinje and offers wonderful views of the Prokletije range.
Please, moderator, move the post to the appropriate section.

A lot has already been said about this wonderful mountain in previous posts and its grandeur is really great. Most forum posts describe successes and achieved goals, fewer when not everything goes to plan. My description below will be something like that, so I want to share it with you. I've been near Matkova kopa many times, at Matkovo sedlo and Matkova krnica crossing the ridge from Mrzla gora, but never on Matkova kopa slopes. Yesterday late afternoon after weather improvement, my dear and I went only to Jerebičje, but then I instinctively decided to go alone to Matkova kopa, she returned towards Pavličevo sedlo. No trouble approaching the summit. From forums I remembered it's possible via gully at Matkov zob to the top. There was quite some brushwood and exposed climbing. At summit around 20:00. Descended to scree then back to the tooth. Reach double window where it's getting dark.
Traverse further right and descend to tooth walls. Downward progress blocked by drop. No back, only option up over saddle at Matkov zob or under wall. Then through gully to approach path which I recognized immediately. In easier forest concentration slips thinking of easier path to Matkovo sedlo, path suddenly lost, slope very steep. Thinking too low head left up and after some 30 m height hit drop ahead, daytime no problem. Experiences from many night hikes, the night itself and fatigue trigger brain alarm, "Time to stop". Though afternoon only to Jerebičje had all bivouac gear in backpack. Report stopped and not coming to valley, dress warm, drink remaining water and doze off. Under almost full moon, stars and no wind doze to dawn. Quite surprised in morning dawn seeing Matkov zob outlines on my left. How possible, should be on slope facing Matkov kot not Austria. But facts different. Fact: last night coming from above missed at path junction, should turn right to Matkovo sedlo but went left (straight at night) to path under Matkov zob. Thinking on south slope or above Matkov kot, correcting left and up actually went back to gully at Matkov zob. Morning showed bivouacked only 10m below path crossed twice yesterday. Morning rested and daylight head back to Jerebičje, admiring surrounding peaks in morning sun.
Believe various comments on my post, so no special conclusions, everyone draw own opinion. For me every mountain experience enriches and increases respect for mountains, also experiencing unique magnificent moment like today's morning cuckoo calling waking you in forest instead of village rooster.

Uffzavijanje z očmi, you've awakened memoriesnasmeh and made me long for it.
Wonderful ledges are really there under Rigljica and Rušica, not to mention the views, but not for everyone.
Steep grass comes next. A few years ago I was returning from MMP via Kotle and wanted to reach bivouac Za Ak, but under Spodnji Kotel I started crossing too high and a jump stopped me, no rope for abseil and night caught me too, no choice but down to the valley and back to Za Ak. All for fitnessvelik nasmeh and beer.

Congratulations, I was last week at VMP and several times also at Kačji jezik, but paradise never appealed to me, there should be some chili addednasmeh.

@geppo, most of us have already done your assigned task during the day, so we only wander around there at full moon.velik nasmeh.
Those 2m of exposed slab from your top picture on the passage to the shepherd's is also no problem.

And of course greetings to everyone, also @locals.

Definitely crampons to which ice axe fits, since glacier quite steep. On lower link pic from yesterday.

Definitely all of us who headed to the mountains yesterday had a wonderful day no matter where we were and the conditions were phenomenal.

Ajda, you caught us nicely in the Amphitheater, the only spot in the summit part where I took off the helmet and pulled out the poles. Looks like excellent zoom on the camera, well true I'm pretty bunched up. You probably shot us from DK. Thanks for the pic. lp.

Yesterday my friend and I went to Široka peč from Za Aka and from the summit continued along the ridge to Dovški Križ. Followed by descent to Poldov rovt. Exactly the reverse route as the one I did alone last year. Definitely yesterday's direction is harder, as we climbed all intermediate towers directly, without bypasses.
The route is suitable only for the most experienced mountaineers and secured or with a guide.

There were many hikers yesterday on the edge of the Amphitheater, from Kukova špica, Škrnatarica, the ridge to Dovški Križ and DK itself, while we were alone on this side.

First, big congratulations for the outstanding tour. See what all women's forgetfulness can lead to nasmeh. Prle defined this ridge in his book Ridges of Slovenian Mountains for pathless and bushy extremists. Prle bypassed the third summit on the route with a detour to the left; I'm wondering if that's the gully you're describing. As you know, I also have a desire for this ridge, since we talked about it last year. I hope it works out for me this year.
Best regards. Janez

Yesterday with new friend Andrej from Kamniška Bela over Skok, Šraj pesek and Vršičev gully to Vežica and on to Lučki Dedec. Descent to Korošica, then over Petkove njive back to valley towards Najnar štanta which sadly we didn't see, but we have new variant to valley between paths over Skok or Najnar štanta. Especially liked the gully in Vršičev wall that takes you directly to summit plateau where lots of dwarf pines and wonderful gentians.

Is anyone for tomorrow wanting company in the mountains, I've just signed vacation, or we can go even tonight ha ha. All possible variants and locations acceptable, preference pathless and scree... lp

@lijaneja, nothing in Martuljek or elsewhere is just like that or with the left hand for me; above all, serious assessment and knowing one's abilities is key and most important. Rigljica definitely not for occasional and inexperienced hikers, but equipped at key spots with pitons, allowing safe descent with a suitably long rope. Some pics now attached.

Yesterday I set off for Rigljica and Rušica from Martuljek; on the return, I visited Kurji vrh and descended to Jasna. Pure wilderness and solitude, since not even on Kurji vrh had anyone been there according to the logbook. I didn't prepare much for orientation, which probably extended my tour by about half an hour at the descent from Kurji vrh, or maybe not. Even today I'm not sure whether from Kurji vrh in the summit section to the trail connecting Martuljek with KG there are two little paths or just one. The doubt arises due to the huge scree on the trail section from the junction in the direction of Jasna.
The access to Rigljica and onwards to Rušica caused me no problems. From the PP boulder to the saddle left of KV, then along the connecting ridge to the summit section where climbing starts, short descent into the gully and then the most difficult part of about 20m and onwards to the summit of Rigljica, from there to Rušica. I expected more loose rock, but the rock here is still more compact than on Oltar, Rokavi or ŠP.
Navihan9. 07. 2012 20:18:15
Congratulations to both for the wonderful tour, for the keys surely the Cold Lady took care, she didn't allow you to hang around there without visiting her. lp
Navihan4. 07. 2012 09:41:46
Congratulations, Volk, for the tour because the terrain in the initial part of the ridge viewed from Krnička is really bad, so next time I'll look for a passage further from the ridge or a traverse from the saddle on the eastern slope and then up. Regards
