Searching and searching, I see that the highest peak of Corsica doesn't have its own topic
It's not so much about current conditions, as I've spent too much time "fiddling" with the report. It's more about the idea and route description. If someone is going to Corsica this year, for example. Autumn is ideal anyway, in the middle of summer it's too hot
There are roughly 2 routes to Cinto: from Lozzi and from Asco. A combination of circumstances led us to try both. Definitely the one from Asco is much more recommended

I don't like opening new topics... but I'm quite surprised that nothing in this style has been opened yet. I'd say many people have already walked something similar.

So, the Saturday idea was to roughly circle the Ljubnica basin. If sticking to it as precisely as possible, I'd have to start in Ljubnem. But Boskovec would have to be left alone, as it sticks out of it. But as said - approximately. So from the hunting hut straight to the ridge, along the ridge to Travnik, Komna and Smrekovec. Turn south - across Kalski ridge, Boskovec, Golte and back to the start.

At the beginning of summer the E part of the ridge in the title...and a bit more besides. This time also the W part. And of course again a bit more besides
Again a bit of discovering hot water as a result of "quickly skimmed" previous descriptions, not precise studying of them And thus additional almost 2 hours with searching for passages around. At the end a variant from the Slovenian side towards Škrbina above Prevalski Kuntar.

Miran, after all you and Andrej meant/wrote the same. Dolič is threatened regarding avalanches, it already took a proper hit a few years ago. Up there there's really no danger.

Tone, due to fog I took the "safer" (well, the known) variant. Otherwise I would surely have searched for passages with less height loss. That flank though... yeah, it's for the psyche but not that hard. Looking from the top down I went right along the flank, crossed it at the narrower part, about 2m, where there were steps and holds and then down the gully.

The building was apparently really knocked down by the wind... Before it had withstood the wind for almost 100 years, then it started blowing so strongly that it carried macole through the air...

As the question in the topic title itself suggests, I too was wondering whether to go up in the crowd, or rather stay on unmarked, unpopulated surrounding peaks. But still it pulls me up...

I myself (especially as a guide) do not question the point of further membership. But because of that I also often have the opportunity to meet someone "from above". And since I'm not the quietest person, I also say directly what I think about some things. But I don't delude myself that my voice, or the voice of quite a few other "professional workers in sports", would be heard too much But if I already realize that I won't change much, at least I won't be silent. Because if there are enough of us loud... maybe...

Regarding "cheap insurance abroad", I would just point out that for example for Switzerland the B membership fee can be much too low. For Austria and Italy it will generally be ok. Unless it's a complicated case or a big stupidity.

It's interesting to me, given that we all see that the problem is the tourist industry - how come we have such different views on how to proceed.
Why should mountaineers voluntarily withdraw from this? Why should they quietly hand over "their land" to the corrupt tourist industry? Without objection, without resistance? It reminds me a bit of that Cankar's... about the bent back...

In Austria there are fewer paid starting points than here, those that exist usually have lower prices.
If someone takes issue with the road to the Pastirica glacier - it was built already 100 years ago primarily for car tourism, not for hikers. And of course with an expensive toll. The car was simply a luxury back then.
